Melodèon player, singer, bagpipes player, composer, arranger, born in Milan in 1970, has always play folkmusic. He was the founder of many folk bands: Terantiqua in 1991, with whom he won in 1994 the first Folkontest established by Folkermesse of Casale Monferrato (AL) and participated in the same year, at the prestigious Interceltic festival of Lorient in Brittany; in 1996 La Magiostra, fusion laboratory of folkmusic and modern musical languages; Musicanta in 1998, the first band that mixed traditional Italian music with the french canadian’s sounds; Din Delon in 2000, with whom hetoured all over Europe and recorded two CDs.
He was melodèon player’s in bands Picotage (French music), O Calascione (music of southern Italy) and piper in the early music ensemble La chambre du Roy René.
In 2007 he founded Andrea Capezzuoli e Compagnia, a multifaceted project of Italian folk music with contaminations from overseas traditions. With this band he is currently shooting scenes of the most important Italian and foreign festivals (Canada, Peru, France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland).
Since 2007 is the melodeon player of the folk bands BandaBrisca & Matapuexi.
He has to his credit a thousand concerts, seventeen recordings, and participation in numerous radio and television broadcasts, including RAIDUE “follia rotolante”.
He has been melodeon teacher since 1996 with stable courses (Cremona, Canegrate, Novara, CPSM of Milan) and private lessons. He holds melodeon workshops in Italy and abroad (Belgium, Holland, Germany, Spain, France).
In 2012 he published a melodeon’s methode (“Manuale di Organetto Diatonico”).
In in 2015 he was part of the jury of the prestigious PIF : Castelfidardo International Accordion Award, “Organetto – World music” section.
